林慈偉，來自台灣打狗的小漁村。政治大學法學博士候選人。目前專職於「廢死聯盟」當法務主任。在研究與社會運動間尋找自己。曾經到日本大阪大學法學研究科特別聽講（日本交流協会奨学金短期留学生）、北京師範大學刑事法律科學研究院訪問研究。專攻領域為刑事學。近期研究重心則是「刑事法中的文化抗辯、兒童最佳利益與量刑、國民法官法」等議題。喜歡汪汪喵喵但還沒勇氣養，只能偶爾在臉書發些貓狗文療癒一下自己。最大的興趣是研究寫作和耍廢，所以被問到空閒時都在做什麼呢都會感到不好意思。
Tzu-Wei Lin is currently undertaking his doctoral study in law at National Chengchi University in Taiwan, looking at the impact of sentencing on the children of criminal defendants. He has been interested in the intersection of criminal law, the family, and gender and sexuality – particularly concerning the necessity and extent of state interventions through criminal punishment – through the critical lenses of human rights treaties and sociology. Lin is also the Director of Legal Affairs of the Taiwan Alliance to End the Death Penalty, having worked on many cases involving the death penalty and with convicts and their families.
